2004 Home of the Month Awards Return to Committees Page
AIA Minnesota is pleased to partner with Minneapolis' Star Tribune newspaper to celebrate the second annual Home of the Month program. Twelve entries were selected from many high-quality submissions and will be featured in the newspaper's "Homes" section, appearing the first Saturday of every month beginning in May 2004.
The purpose of the competition is to: educate and inspire the public about the value architects bring to home-building; support ideas of what a Minnesota home can be; expand understanding of the many housing choices for potential homeowners; represent a diversity of price-range for architecturally designed homes; and to support a growing residential architectural community.
The knowledgeable jury gathered on March 19, and included Jeremiah Eck, FAIA, architect and author of The Distinctive Home; Bill Blanski, AIA, of Hammel, Green and Abrahamson, Inc., Minneapolis; and Linda Mack, architecture critic, Star Tribune.
