This program will provide an overview of the Energy Code requirements for commercial buildings including the items that make up the current Minnesota Commercial Energy Code.  Focus will primarily be on the envelope portion with some coverage of the daylighting provisions, as well.  We will also look at the major differences between ASHRAE and IECC compliance paths, and trade-offs that may occur with either path between various envelope and/or other provisions.

The presentation will review Model code issues, successes and challenges of design plan review, and code enforcement of the Energy Code.

Also covered will be the requirement for radon mitigation for all new residential structures under both the IRC and IBC, focusing on those residential structures built to the IBC.
