Sponsored by the AIA Minnesota Women in Architecture Committee, the Brave New Workshop Programs for Women presents a hands-on, participatory skills building event.

As professionals, it’s up to us to promote ourselves and our skillset within our organization. While it sounds simple, it can cause a lot of unwanted stress that shows itself in client meetings, presentations, evaluations, and especially in conversations about our goals and growth. What we have to do is master how to reframe the stress so that we can perform to the best of our abilities and ultimately move forward in our careers.

Margi Simmons, Director of Applied Improvisation at the Brave New Workshop, will help you shift your mindset while walking you through three steps to thriving in situations where you are challenged to portray your most confident and authentic self– how to prepare, how to ground yourself during the experience, and what to do afterwards. Margi’s presentation will feature group discussions, hands on exercises, stories from her life as a performer and facilitator, and much laughter.

Cost: $10 per person. Attendance is limited to the first 50 registrants.

Registration for this event is now closed.
