Aspect 221 is a modern multi-experiential home designed for a multi-generational family. The client was in search of a home for two families that would allow parents, children, and grandparents to live together while having separate spaces. The young, growing family occupies the middle and upper floors, while the grandparents occupy the lower level. Each family has their own private entry and dedicated outdoor space with both a north and south deck as well as an east and west lawn.

A nod to theses differing “aspects” of the property is achieved by twisting the middle floor off axis, and then twisting the upper floor off axis again. Each level reveals the site in different ways as you rise in elevation. A centrally located sculptural stair acts as a connecting thread, linking the families together.
