Paul Labovitz, Superintendent of the Mississippi National River & Recreation Area, will provide background and information regarding this interesting unit of the National Park System designated in 1988 that recognizes the national significance of the Mississippi River as one of the United States special places. Attendees will hear the results of the park's recently completed strategic plan and the big ideas that provide focus for National Park Service activities over the next few year.
