Each year the Housing Advocacy Committee (HAC) hosts a spring “DO” Event and a fall “LEARN” Event for members of the affordable housing community to learn more about Minnesota’s housing issues.
2018 LEARN Event
The 2018 LEARN Event was a tour of Affordable Housing Design Award winner Emanuel Housing in Minneapolis, which offers sober, supportive, permanent singles housing.
2017 LEARN Event
In October 2017 the Housing Advocacy Committee hosted a tour of the new Higher Ground St. Paul Shelter, which offers emergency overnight housing, pay-for-stay overnight housing, and social services.
2016 LEARN Event
On Thursday, September 29 the Housing Advocacy Committee welcomed members to tour the Schmidt Artist Lofts, an adaptive reuse of a historic community landmark brewery into affordable artist lofts located on West Seventh Street in St. Paul.
