||The Director of Virtual Construction will be responsible for creating a virtual construction process that will increase cost savings through integration and application to increase the quality of our services and products. This individual will provide leadership, guidance, means and methods to execute a successful virtual construction platform that will respond to initiatives in the concept phase all the way to building turnover. This hand off will shape an opportunity to maintain a client relationship and assist facility managers in their day-to-day operations.
•Understands and be able to speak to the issues between models created for intention vs. means and methods and be able to develop and manage a live construction model
•Understand how to efficiently integrate BIM
•Significant interest for R&D and can provide a systems thinking approach while understanding the concepts needed to implement and execute
•Through a Lean process, metrics will be established to demonstrate quantifiable ROI on all BIM endeavors
•Proactive evaluation of technology options for corporate wide implementation.
•Integrate modeling with estimating for immediate cost analysis
A successful candidate will have the capabilities to understand and leverage the business needs of operations, marketing, and IT services holistically.
Desired Skills & Experience
•A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant construction experience is required
•A bachelor degree in Construction Engineering/Management, Architecture, or Engineering is preferred, but not mandatory
Industry understanding and functional capabilities:
•Project lifecycle through a BIM Implementation / Execution Plan
•3D Scanning to model for layout
•Construction layout for self-performed work
•BIM use in Preconstruction Services
•BIM use during Construction
•Post occupancy and legacy data collection
•Mentor with excellent customer service skills and training capabilities
•Organized with strong communication skills verbal, graphic, and written
•A thought leader with skills to obtain buy-in from an industry of traditional methods from both the corporate and field staff while leading initiatives for future needs
