Business Development Associate
SECOA, a national specialty contractor and manufacturer serving the performing arts industry, with corporate headquarters in MN, is seeking candidates for a business development associate to build relationships and educate targeted general contractors and industry professionals about SECOA's products and services. Using his/her knowledge of both the construction industry and of SECOA's product and service offering, the employee will aptly identify customer needs and then facilitate SECOA's solution. Using his/her superior communication skills, the employee will cultivate enduring relationships with general contractors and secure early project leads and proprietary bid opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Educate and assist nationally known general contractors and industry professionals with SECOA’s products and services
• Promote SECOA as industry expert and problem solver
• Discover and support early project leads from key relationships
• Prioritize and filter bid opportunities for the estimating department
• Acquire and report on strategic market intelligence and its impact on
SECOA
• Set, monitor and achieve annual, quarterly and monthly goals in alignment
with the Company’s strategic plan
Qualifications and Attributes:
• Extensive experience (5 years) in the construction industry, knowledge of the theatrical industry an advantage
• Proven ability to set, meet and exceed established goals
• Exceptional relationship builder, evidenced by having a well rounded
network of construction industry contacts
• Superior listening, verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive and creative problem solver
• Self-motivated
