Senior Interior Architect

Diversified Real Estate Development company located in the Minneapolis metro area is seeking a Senior Interior Architect to provide in-house architectural services on tenant improvement projects within retail, office and office industrial sectors. The Senior Interior Architect will coordinate the project team on architectural design, construction documents, regulatory processes and construction administration.

What you will do:
Provide building designs, tenant fit plans, and construction documents while incorporating budget restrictions, space program requirements and City guidelines.
Coordination of interior design, structural, civil and during construction phase, conduct site inspections, monitor/analyze change orders and process/approve shop drawings.
Develop site layouts including analysis of building footprint orientation, interior design and parking design which comply with development/leasing criteria; as well as City code requirements.
Prepare required design and construction documents for submittal to various City Planning Departments to assist in attaining City and jurisdictional approvals on assigned projects.
Meet with the tenant to finalize all space requirements and select interior finishes. Maintain contact with tenant and conduct project inspections to monitor design intent during the construction phase.
Perform research to ensure that projects meet all applicable code requirements including IBC, IFC, ADA, etc. Review drawings for code, design and constructability issues.

Qualifications for Senior Interior Architect:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
7 to 10 years’ of work experience as an Architect or Interior Designer with Commercial/Industrial/Tenant Improvement work.
Proficiency in AutoCad 2018/Architectural Desktop.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects
Registered Architect in the State of Minnesota desirable, but not required.
Familiarity with Revit is a plus
