Virtual Homeowner Consultations

Homeowner consultation meetings held in conduction with the past Home of the Month events have become a popular annual offering. Now that homeowners are spending more time than ever in their living spaces, AIA Minnesota wants to connect homeowners with professionals who can be a resource for improving those living spaces.

Residential architecture practitioners are sought to meet with homeowners for thirty-minute virtual conversations via the Zoom online meeting platform. This is an opportunity to gain exposure for your firm and help educate the public about the value of your professional skills.

In order to ensure objectivity and fairness, all members who sign up to participate will be added to a common pool. Homeowners will be assigned to a consultant blindly and randomly from the pool. Consultants must be a current AIA Minnesota member.

Thirty-minute meeting options are available as follows:

Tuesday, May 5 between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm
Thursday, May 7 between 4:30 pm and 7:00 pm
Saturday, May 9 between 10:00 am and 2:30 pm

AIA Minnesota will share the details of your meeting at least one week prior, including information about the homeowners’ design objectives. You may provide the homeowner with materials about your practice during the consultation.

Depending on homeowner participation, you may be able to participate in more than one 30-minute meeting; you will be notified of this additional opportunity in advance of the event. Up to three meetings can occur concurrently during each of the time slots.

Please complete the following if you wish to participate as a consultant:

  • One-hour meeting, plus up to one hour of preparation time, reviewing materials provided by the client.
