This program is the second in a series of three VIRTUAL BUILDING CODE seminars in March. Each will provide 1.5 HSW LUs.
March 11 – Addressing Ready Mixed Concrete Sustainability (click HERE for details)
March 16 – Fire Resistive Construction: An Overview of IBC Chapter 7 (see BELOW for details)
March 24 – The Great Debate: Do I Really Need a Roof Air Barrier? (click HERE for details)

This program will explore the fire resistive construction requirements in the IBC chapter 7. We will explore the differences between fire protective construction and fire resistive construction. The program will review the various challenges in maintaining ratings and protection. Understanding the fire resistive construction requirements in IBC chapter 7 are critical to maintaining the protection of buildings, occupants, and first responders. Incorrect application of penetratation and opening protection requirements could lead to a reduction in building safety. Plan to attend.
