This program has been canceled due to an insufficient number of registrations. We hope to reschedule in early 2017.

Recent studies have documented the high cost of waste and inefficiencies in the design and construction industries, especially in healthcare projects. As a result, healthcare owners are looking to emerging technologies that when utilized in conjunction with collaborative processes, can increase productivity and decrease field conflicts, waste, and project schedules and timelines.  The Integrated Project Delivery method (IPD), used in conjunction with LEAN practices will increase the likelihood that project goals, including schedule, life cycle cost, quality, and sustainability, will be achieved. This seminar will be a combination of presentation and an interactive engagement of audience with the presenters. Register and come prepared to participate in an open discussion with some of the leading experts in the process of utilizing IPD and LEAN practices in healthcare related projects.

Learning objectives

  1. Explain how LEAN and IPD (Integrated Project Delivery) principles can be applied to healthcare projects to maximize project results, increase value to the owner, reduce waste and maximize efficiency through all phases of the design and construction.
  2. Examine a case study and realize how effective communication and collaboration from all the project participants created the outcomes of a highly efficient and cost effective new hospital facility.
  3. Leverage new technologies and utilize individual expertise to their highest potential, not just in early design phases, but throughout the entire project lifecycle.
  4. Apply LEAN and IPD practices on future healthcare projects.
