Join in on the Hui event at the new Rypen showroom in welcoming internationally renowned Lighting Designer & Director of David Trubridge, David Trubridge himself. He will share his expert insight on his eco-conscious lighting by the myths, legends and beauty of New Zealand. David will give a brief presentation on Beauty Matters that answers why beauty and art have been a significant part in our culture. He offers personal insight into how beauty and art may have first appeared in Paleolithic society and remained imperative since. With little beauty there is no care. When we do not give enough care to our environment, our environment will then not care for us. David identifies why modern culture cares so little, and demonstrates how this may be cured. All of these factors are incorporated into his design philosophy that is presented in his lecture. David will share how he has applied this philosophy in his manufacturing process to reduce his environmental impact.
