Program description

This review session will cover the Construction Documents & Services section of the ARE. The session discusses the architect’s role in translating design concepts, building materials, and systems into construction documents. The session also reviews the administration of building construction projects using AIA Documents and includes project files, final inspection lists, documents for project close-out and project delivery. In addition, the 4.0 version of the exam includes a Building Section graphic vignette which will also be covered in this review class.

Instructors

Kristine A. Kubes, JD, is the principal of Kubes Law Office, PLLC, serving design and construction professionals. Kristine is a legal counselor and litigator who assists her clients on their projects, from initial contract through completion and final payment. She served as a Public Member on the Minnesota AELSLAGID Board from 2005 to 2013. Kristine has been team-teaching AIA Minnesota ARE review courses since 2005.
Heidi Neumueller, AIA, LEED AP,
is an architect at Cuningham Group Architects in the Grow Market Group specializing in the design of educational and worship environments. She currently serves on the AIA Minnesota Committee on Design and the AIA Minnesota Leadership Forum Advisory Committee. Heidi has been team teaching AIA Minnesota ARE review courses since 2010.
