Just off the shores of Lake Bde Maka Ska (formerly Lake Calhoun), this modern family home brings Hamptons-style living to the city. Blending traditional architectural vernacular with expansive modern spaces, this beautiful home integrates seamlessly with the neighborhood while meeting the demands of a young family.
The home accommodates the family’s active lifestyle with durable materials and generously-sized rooms that flow out to the yard and swimming pool. The design features a traditional gable-roofed cottage vernacular contrasted by moments of dramatic open and modern glass voids. The material palette of the home is simple and understated, with exciting contrasts in texture and color including natural siding paired with metal panels, dark textured limestone adjacent to blackened steel surrounds and traditional wood-clad windows contrasted with expansive sliding doors.
