Play a part in making the AIA Minnesota Convention and Products Exposition a success by contributing your skills and expertise. Ambassadors help to elevate the quality of the convention and engage with the various audiences who attend this annual event.
Each ambassador group will set its own schedule for meeting and will be supported by a staff liaison. Groups may or may not hold face-to-face meetings. Help with one or more of the following tasks:
Timing: February – April
Student Outreach — engage with faculty and students at Dunwoody College and the U of MN School of Architecture to promote the value of the convention for students and encourage attendance
Timing: August – late October
Event Promotion — assist with spreading the word about key highlights of the convention and promote attendance through social media and other networks.
Timing: September – November
Pop-up Bookstore — investigate the viability of inviting a local bookseller to host a pop-up shop in the Exhibit Hall during convention.
Timing: April – June
Idea Generation & Input — give input on or generate ideas about ways to engage the convention audience through supplemental activities, displays, or other formats.
Timing: As needed
Onsite Support — help with set up of displays and signage, assist with registration desk duties, and provide other support as needed.
Timing: November 12-17
