Permit and Code Compliance Specialist-CHA02638


Responsible for submitting building permit applications and obtaining permits relating to the construction and/or renovation of Life Time Fitness facilities. Upholds the fulfillment of Life Time Fitness’ Mission Statement.

Examples of Work Performed:
- Reviews construction documents to assure building code compliance and identify potential problems that could delay permitting
- Meets with governmental agencies to identify permit and plan review requirements
- Coordinates permits application package with Architecture Department
- Submits plan changes and addendums to governmental agencies for review and approval
- Works with Architecture to determine code and permit requirements for future projects, including early communications with local municipalities
- Establishes relationship with municipality staff to help LTF Construction Company and Life Time Fitness throughout project duration
- Communicates with construction department personnel regarding building codes, questions, concerns and requirements
- Makes site visits throughout the course of construction to verify code compliance.
- Develops preliminary cost estimate and budgets for future projects
- Works with development and construction teams to establish final inspection requirements
- Works with Life Time Fitness Real Estate and Development staff regarding future projects
- Works with Life Time Fitness licensing staff to obtain and maintain operational licenses


- Four-year college degree in related field or equivalent experience

- Five to seven-years experience in code compliance and or commercial construction
- Willing to travel up to 40-50%

Licenses / Certifications / Registration:
- ICC Certified Building Official or Equivalent
