LLoyd Companies is growing and hiring for our in-house design team! This Architect position is located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. We are The Architect will work closely with the design, construction, and development team members to create project designs, construction documents, and perform construction administration activities for multifamily, commercial, and hotel development projects. These duties will include initial site master plans, programming, presentations, construction documentation, etc. The Architect should be a critical thinker and have sound subject knowledge to present innovative solutions and improvements to our developments.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  Develop, prepare, and coordinate; plans, specifications and construction documents utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, BIM360 and other architectural drafting tools. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance in relation to zoning laws, fire regulations, building code, and other ordinances. Prepare code compliance evaluations. Review projects for accessibility standards and ADA compliance. Participate in various pre-design services such as feasibility studies and site reviews. Review and discuss project goals, objectives, design standards and procedures with development team and clients. Work directly with clients, development team, and project managers on all phases of the design process, to include but not limited to: master planning, programming, presentations, and construction documentation.

Provide strong technical detailing skills in a variety of construction materials and building types. Make on-site visits as needed. Attend team meetings as needed. JOB REQUIREMENTS Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; BIM360 is a plus. Proficient in MS Office applications, Adobe Suite is a plus. Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy/thoroughness of all work. True desire to complete a project with conscious care, commitment, and concentration. Active member of the community. High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change. Excellent organizational and follow-through skills. Ability to carry out multi-task projects. Ability to work well with diverse groups or individuals. Regular and consistent attendance. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of experience in architectural practice with experience in all phases of projects. Registration as an Architect in a US state and/or jurisdiction recognized by NCARB preferred.
