Description

Oleson+Hobbie Architects is seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Architectural BIM Manager to lead our Building Information Modeling initiatives and support our design teams in delivering high-quality, coordinated architectural projects. This role is ideal for someone with deep Revit expertise, a passion for digital design technologies, and a strategic mindset for improving workflows and standards.

Position Overview:
The BIM Manager will oversee the implementation, maintenance, and advancement of BIM tools and processes across the firm. This position is responsible for developing standards, training staff, and ensuring consistent, high-quality digital documentation. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative leader who enjoys mentoring others and staying ahead of emerging technologies.’

Key Responsibilities:
Software & Technology Leadership:
Manage BIM software platforms, including Revit Architecture and related tools.
Evaluate and implement new BIM technologies and software updates.
Coordinate with IT on hardware needs and software installations.
Maintain a high level of proficiency in Revit and other BIM-related applications.

Standards & Quality Control:
Develop, implement, and enforce firm wide BIM standards and workflows.
Create and maintain Revit template files and content libraries.
Provide quality control for digital documentation and model integrity.
Ensure consistency and compliance with company standards across all projects.

Training & Mentorship:
Provide Revit training for staff at various skill levels.
Onboard new employees with BIM orientation and tools.
Support ongoing professional development in digital design technologies.

Project Support & Coordination:
Assist project teams with BIM set-up and coordination.
Create custom Revit families and content as needed.
Support digital document distribution and model sharing with consultants and clients.
Link BIM workflows to construction administration processes, including submittals and shop drawings.

Qualifications:
Degree in Architecture or Architectural Drafting and Design (AAS or higher).
Minimum 3 years of experience in architectural production using Revit.
Strong understanding of building systems and construction documentation.
Proven experience developing and managing BIM standards.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability to lead, train, and support staff in a collaborative environment.
Self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
