CR-BPS is seeking an Architectural CAD Technician with building science expertise to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and expanding CR-BPS’s Facility/Site – Asset Management and High-Performance Architecture core services. This position offers tremendous growth opportunity.
The Primary responsibilities required for the Employee are as follows:
a. Architectural drafting through all phases of design with the guidance of the Lead Architect.
b. Build the REVIT (BIM Software) Library as needed
c. Assist in creation of a Standard of Practice for sheet layouts
d. Lead technology initiatives
e. On-going research of advancements in sustainable building science practices
f. Assist in completion of existing and future projects throughout all project phases:
i. Assessment/ Audit
iii. Conceptual/ Schematic design
iv. Design Development
v. Construction Administration
vi. Occupancy and Post Occupancy
vii. Testing, Monitoring and Verification
g. Provide support for other core areas (Facility/Site Asset Management and Building Science)
h. Client relationship management with new and existing clients
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Associates or Technical degree in architectural drafting or related field
• Additional Certifications preferred but not mandatory:
o LEED Accredited Professional.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working in the architectural drafting industry
• Demonstrated successful experience working with/for local, state and/or federal governments
• Strong knowledge of REVIT and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must work from, manage, and operate personal office in Minnesota or Western Wisconsin
• Work collaboratively with remote team in Minnesota and Wisconsin
• Ability to communicate effectively via phone/web/email/video conference for meetings, brainstorm sessions, project collaboration, project deliverables, mentorship and check-ins with clients and team.
• Must have access to:
o A reliable motor vehicle
o A PC computer that is a laptop/portable and is a 2018 or later model with large hard drive storage
o Cell phone with high quality reception
o High speed internet
