Description: Oertel Architects is seeking a full-time architectural technician to join our team.
This position requires an experienced Revit technician to work with our team to produce quality construction documents and assist the project architect in all phases of work including coordination with outside consultants. An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, strong Revit skills, and the ability to work on several projects/tasks concurrently. Candidate will need attention to detail as well as the ability to take initiative to produce high-quality deliverables.
Responsibilities: Produce accurate and complete architectural drawings using Revit for bidding, permitting, and construction. Coordinate with engineering consultant’s drawings. Collaborate with internal architects and project managers as well as consultants, vendors, contractors, and clients. Exhibit a high level of skill to balance multiple projects with the ability to meet deadlines. Additional responsibilities may include schematic design, shop drawing review, and field support.
Qualifications: Thorough knowledge of contract documents. Proven ability to work independently within a team environment on multiple tasks while meeting critical dates. Self-motivation, priority setting, problem solving, strong work ethic, and proven dedication a must. Ability to collect field data and accurately record findings. Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam required. Experience with Autocad, Sketchup and Lumion a plus. Excellent communication skills.
Education and Experience: Associates Degree in Drafting or Bachelor in Architecture degree min; 3+ years of Revit experience.
Compensation: Pay rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include full employee health and dental insurance, matching 401k, PTO, continuing ed.
