Change Manager – Architecture Prototype

Position Summary

Manages the processing of prototype design change requests, bulletins and design clarifications. Facilitates prototype change implementation from the initial Change Request phase through project Change Directives for new LT club projects and CAPEX remodel projects. This role will include coordination of change items with all internal Life Time Development teams as well as external Architectural and/or Engineering Consultants. This role will also assist in department research and development efforts to identify opportunities for cost savings, material and equipment alternatives, and architectural building systems.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinates change requests with Life Time’s Business Owners and ensure appropriate information is provided by the originator
Leads the coordination of Prototype change documentation
Partners with project teams to develop a summary of projects potentially impacted by each change request and tracks list of projects that have implemented change directives
Coordinates change information with Interiors, Construction, Architecture, Engineering and other appropriate groups within the organization
Coordinates approved change items with Life Time’s CAPEX team for remodel projects
Prepares appropriate information/documentation for Executive Management Team change review meetings
Collects estimated costing information from Construction Team for change items and ensures change item costs are included in change requests/notices as needed
Manages the implementation and distribution of change notices for the projects impacted by each change notice
Assists and leads in departmental research and development efforts as required
Provides clarifications of change items during the construction phase where required

Position Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field
5 or more years of experience in the construction industry
Demonstration of thorough architecture and construction project knowledge
Ability to recognizes and articulate problems and provide solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to organize a wide range of information and create succinct reporting
Knowledge of standard office procedures and computer software
Ability to effectively multi-task with tight deadlines both independently and within a team environment
Experience with basic skills using Revit modeling software
Experience working with basic database applications
