Primary Responsibilities: In the role of Design Coordinator, we’ll count on you to:
Provide planning, design, and coordination support on projects.
Engage in problem solving, teamwork, critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and visualization to create accurate and detailed drawings.
Prepare drawings and specification documents.
Research, plan, design and administer building projects for clients, applying knowledge of design construction procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials.
Review, distribute and file submittals, shop drawings, material data and samples.
Assist the Project Manager’s efforts to coordinate the structural, mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines throughout the design process in preparation of the final working drawings.
Perform other duties as needed.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or closely related field
Strong organizational skills.
Healthcare related experience or coursework required.
Working knowledge of Revit, Sketch-up, and Adobe Creative Suite.
Understanding of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, prints, drawings, and models
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and flexible
Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction of buildings. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.
1+ years’ experience in A/E industry
Master’s degree in Architecture or closely related field.
Experience in areas of healthcare, education, civic, science, and research facilities.
Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED
Rhino and Grasshopper experience.
Preference given to local candidates.
