Life Time is looking to grow our Architecture leadership team with a Director of Architecture-Multifamily & Mixed-Use Development focused on our Life Time Living business. This exciting new role is ideal for an experienced design professional with broad expertise in multifamily housing and a track record of successfully leading and collaborating with cross functional teams.

This position will play a critical role in aligning project workflows with existing SOP’s and driving early decision making based on project parameters, industry best practices and inherent professional experience.

Job Description: 

Position Summary
The Director Architecture-Multifamily & Mixed Use Development is a registered Architect with a thorough knowledge of multifamily housing design, development and construction practices associated with this market sector. This individual will lead all architectural and design efforts for LT Living, Life Time’s new and growing Multifamily/Mixed Use portfolio.

This position will be responsible for the complete architectural delivery of multiple projects in design and construction and will be responsible for managing external project teams for multiple new and innovative projects. The position will also be involved in cross-functional leadership and collaboration across the division and will lead in facilitating decision making based on Brand expectations, Divisional SOP’s and industry best practices.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides strong technical, design and practice-based leadership and oversight for all Multifamily Housing & Mixed Use projects to ensure best-in-class project delivery through all phases of design and construction. Supports Company’s Growth & Vision through the development and implementation of LT Living Brand Standards and Strategies aimed at increasing more informed decision making, improving efficiency and adhering to internal processes.

Partners with internal cross-functional leaders in Architecture, Construction, Operations, and Real Estate to establish strategies to grow and develop a successful Multifamily Living portfolio within Life Time. Leads multiple external project teams simultaneously from schematic design through project completion and ensures adherence to brand standards, internal processes and quality standards expectations. ​

Position Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Professional Degree in Architecture 10+ years in leading and managing Multifamily Housing Projects Ability to work cross-functionally with interdisciplinary teams Demonstration of strong leadership, and ability to motivate, develop and hold teams accountable Highly effective written and verbal communication skills Experience working in a high-energy and fast-paced environment ​ ​

Preferred Requirements
Master’s Degree in Architecture Experience being a leader of leaders LEED Accreditation LEAN Construction experience Industry and Design-related software experience including, Revit and Bluebeam Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Life Time is a place for everyone.
