Description

Corporate Facilities Planner

Fortune 500 Company is seeking a Corporate Facilities Planner to provide tactical and strategic space planning expertise in support and coordination of occupancy and move management (moves, adds, changes), including site moves and restacking. In the role you will be responsible for general occupancy planning, strategic planning, pre-project planning, moves/adds/changes, and reporting for a corporate campus and potentially other offices in North America.

Responsibilities include:

General Occupancy Planning:
Partner with client & team members for managing project resources (Design & Construction, Facility Management, Real Estate & Strategy, IFM, Security, EHS, Sourcing)
Provide plan updates/changes in space management system (Archibus), as needed to keep information resources current
Provide cost saves or avoidance ideas to the client
Partner with internal teams to provide oversight of space planning and documentation
Revisit client goals and objectives on an ongoing basis for possible changes
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with Real Estate team to develop client strategy for sites (divesture/acquisitions, consolidations, expansion, contraction, relocation, closure, marketability,)
Collaborate on creation of deliverables that will drive down vacancy and yield portfolio savings
Support the Portfolio Strategy by providing program gathering, occupancy metrics, stacking diagrams, space planning, layout changes, and move plans as needed
Lead Client Planning meetings for coordinating efforts between Strategy, Planning, Real Estate, Project Management, FM
Make assessments/ recommendations on sites for establishing appropriate action plans
Develop planning guidelines/standards, space policies, corporate standards, procedures and protocols for use on projects
Ensure planning is aligned with corporate guidelines and client objectives for space use
Pre-Project Planning:
Schedule & Lead meetings with project team and client to validate planning, design direction and alternative options
Present planning packages to client & project teams for shared input
Partner with Project Management to transition projects from Pre-project Planning to implementation
Facilitate and/or resolve planning issues when they arise
Provide ROM budgeting, schedules and scope of work outlines as needed for project approvals & understanding
MAC (Moves/Adds/Changes):
Maintain Eagan Campus for ongoing business relocation’s, re-stacks, expansion/contractions
Audit site for updates to keep Archibus (IWMS system) current ( including seat assignments, vacancy, neighborhood boundaries)
Lead meetings with client & project teams to validate planning objectives, goals & implementation tasks
Develop migration plans and sequencing of group-level and individual moves
Reporting:
Use AutoCAD to produce basic test-fits and square foot calculations
Use Microsoft Excel i.e. (V-Look-ups, cell calculations, etc.) for various reporting
Ability to consolidate data and floor plans into Power Point for presentations to client and lines of business
Report actual seat demand versus projected seat demand at the building level
Compare over time, actual seat demand versus projected seat demand at the building and business unit level
Reports on current supply and capacity, and forecast inventory changes

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Design or related field
A minimum of 7 year’s experience in a corporate environment
Previous experience in general occupancy planning, strategic planning, pre-project planning, moves/adds/ changes and reporting
MS Office; working knowledge of AutoCAD; Archibus or other CAFM tool is preferred
