The salary range for this position is $63,000 to $75,000 annually. Salary may be impacted by candidates years of experience, specific market sector experience, licensure and/or potential involvement in business development. Introduction:
Pope Design Group is seeking a passionate, ambitious and thoughtful Interior Designer that seeks to make a positive and impactful difference in our community through the spaces we create. We are a multi-disciplinary firm comprised of creative architects and interior designers, partnering with clients aross the country. In this position you will be working closely with the Project Manager and an integrated team of design professionals developing design concepts into high quality documents for our clients. Interiors Team:
Our Interiors team practices broadly. This position will provide an opportunity to collaborate with integrated design teams on a variety of projects of various sizes and complexity with a focus on education project types. Team members can react positively to a variety of design priorities, styles, and project delivery methods.
Responsibilities Include:
• Collect client space requirements and develop plan layouts for projects with project team.
• Develop design concepts, color/finish materials and furniture selections for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Work with project team on development and documentation of design solutions.
• Coordination and specification of interior furniture.
• Assist with preparing design presentation materials & renderings.
• Participates in development of construction documents using Revit.
• May attend client/project interviews.
• Manage the interior design portion of a project, preparing design and construction documents with a clear understanding of the needs of the client and of the project scope, schedule, budget and project deliverables.
• Stays current with the latest design trends, architectural/design products, and materials.
• Some travel may be required.
Client Interface:
• The project team all work together on developing a positive relationship of trust with our clients and fostering a commitment to external and internal client service.
• You will regularly communicate with clients to verify design requirements and specifications, progress reviews, delivery of final presentations, updates on project progress.
• Work with Project Managers to confirm objectives and formulate options with the client; prepare and conduct design and technical presentations for team and/or clients and participate in marketing efforts.
Your Skills, Experience and Competencies:
• Bachelor’s degree in interior design.
• Minimum 5 – 8 years of experience with specific K-12 and/or higher education design experience. NCIDQ certificate holder and CID a plus.
• A working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and other design software, with an emphasis on 3D presentation is required.
• Has a good knowledge of applying interior design principles, practices, and concepts.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in the work requests or environment.
• Ability to take on additional responsibilities as needed with some guidance.
• Proven organization and time management skills and is detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
