Kaas Wilson Architects is an award-winning architectural firm in Bloomington, MN. Our well-managed team of 55+ architects, interior designers, and interns operate in an open, fast-paced, and collaborative office environment that brings design experience and a team approach together, creating beautiful, practical, and livable built environments. Our office is focused on multi-family housing, senior living, historic preservation, commercial projects, and renovation; with current project locations in Minnesota and across the US.

We are currently seeking a job captain to join our team. Candidate should have a completed degree in architecture, proficiency using Revit, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to coordinate a project team under the direction of the project manager. The ideal candidate would be described as creative, detail-oriented, professional, self-motivated, personable, articulate, and fun.

– Create 3D models using Revit
-Assist in construction document production and coordination
-Assist in architectural design process from schematic design through contract administration
-Assist project teams with project-oriented efforts, graphic design, administrative and organizational tasks
– Coordinate team efforts, both administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned project
-Effectively coordinate with all consultants
– Ensure projects meet established milestones
-Mentor emerging professionals

– 3-5 years of experience as an emerging professional in an architectural firm
-Bachelors’ Degree (BA, BDA, or BS) in Architecture, B.Arch, or M.Arch completed
-Pursuing licensure preferred
-Proficiency in Revit and some knowledge of SketchUp and other modeling software programs
-Competence in Adobe Creative Suite applications, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
-Strong graphic and visualization skills to communicate design ideas
-Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-Excellent team management skills
-Some local and regional travel may be required
-Multi-family housing experience preferred
