Kaas Wilson Architects is an award-winning Architecture and Interior Design firm that specializes in the design of a wide range of multi-family and senior housing projects. We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as an Architectural Designer. The Marketing Coordinator should be experienced, detail-oriented, and have a solid understanding of marketing techniques with a keen interest in providing a consistent brand voice for our firm across all marketing activities to specific audiences. Is a creative individual with exceptional written, graphic, and communication skills. Exhibits critical thinking skills, strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail. Has outstanding organizational, time management, and research skills.

Direct Supervisor: Chief Marketing Officer

Responsibilities: • Develop strategic marketing initiatives and activities. • Implement marketing plans that include branded print and online content. • Create branded collateral materials to include in marketing and proposal documents. • Support the partners and project managers by coordinating and assisting in the creation of project proposals for current and future clients. • Setup, organize, and lead tracking systems for marketing efforts, online activities for client outreach. • Conduct market research locally, regionally and nationally to identify marketing opportunities. • Create, maintain and strengthen the organization’s overall brand through all media avenues. • Organize and streamline proposal templates so they are employee-friendly to adapt and client-friendly to review and approve. • Manage print contractors and other promotional vendors. • Coordinate firm’s involvement in volunteering and charity events that align with the firm’s brand, reflects the firm’s values, and generates positive public exposure. o Habitat for Humanity o Alzheimer’s Walk o Hearts and Hammers o Birdies for Hope (CommonBond’s charity golf tournament) o Feed My Starving Children o Toys for Tots o MHA-people serving people (most of our clients are members) • Track and coordinate submissions to industry awards and events o AIA Merit Awards o MADAC Awards o Affordable Housing Awards (HUD, AIA, other) o Historic Preservation Awards (Rethos, Minneapolis/St. Paul HPC) o Finance and Commerce “Top Projects” o Business Journal’s “Best in Real Estate” o IIDA FAB Awards o NIOP Best Projects Awards • Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information. • Simplify complex data into a user-friendly format such as graphs, charts and other visual aids for clients and the firm’s management. • Other duties as apparent and assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Critical thinker with strong problem-solving and research proficiencies • Ability to comprehend and interpret competitor strategies and consumer behavior • Solid organizational skills and detail oriented • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines • Creative mind with superb written and verbal communication skills • Ability to simplify complex information into a user-friendly format • Strong client-facing skills • Goal oriented and strong follow through.

Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/communications or related (essential) • Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in content management, graphic design, creative writing, advertising concepts and/or media negotiations • Expert knowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Photoshop, InDesign, web editing, HubSpot, and WordPress Physical Requirements: • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. • Ability to travel to meetings, interviews, and events (must have drivers license). • Ability to participate in after hour business and volunteering events.
