The Project Captain: leads the preparation of plans, drawings, details and specifications in accordance with client standards and specification; coordinate with client’s vendors, consultants, permit expediters, general contractors, city officials and inspectors throughout the CD and CA phases of a project; and partners with interior designer to deliver flexible, thoughtful and innovative design.
Understanding the teams assigned hours for given tasks on project(s).
Understanding the contracts on assigned project(s) and how they impact project delivery.
Aligning efforts with contract scope and deliverables.
Developing and delivering technical design.
Meeting deadlines on assigned project(s).
Supporting the design process in conjunction with delivering the construction documents.
Maintaining and strengthening relationships with clients, consultants and vendors through project work.
Strengthening relationships with internal and external teams.
Being a positive representative for the firm within our industry.
What we are looking for:
Working knowledge of building codes
Exceptional problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills & attention to detail.
A commitment to helping the team succeed.
Strong customer service skills.
Technical or Professional Architectural Degree required.
6-10 years professional experience in an architecture firm preferred.
Experience working with large nationwide corporate clients preferred.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.
