AMI Healthcare is seeking a Project Healthcare Architect to join its project team in Bangkok to oversee healthcare projects of various sizes and complexity in Southeast Asia. Must be willing to relocate for duration of contract and travel occasionally within the region to oversee the implementation.

The Project Healthcare Architect (PHA) will be part of the commissioning team and work closely with the Chief Project Director and will oversee and manage the architectural and design performed by local architects and design firms, and ensure the compliance with Joint Commission International (JCI) guidelines.

Manages 3-5 projects at a time of varying sizes and complexities.
Oversee the local design firms and ensure compliance with intended design.
Meets with consultants and stakeholders.
Presents ideas and recommendations.
Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines and regulations.
Coordinates meetings with design partners and project staff.
Performs field investigations and verification.
Properly maintains project files, data, protocols and reports.
Works with healthcare equipment planners and other design parties.
Ensures ecological design and integration of state-of-the-art technologies.
Performs and manages contract administration during the construction process.
Ensures on-time construction and working within the budget.
Reviews and works with Chief Project Director on monthly budgets.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field – required.
Master’s degree in Architecture – preferred.
At least ten (10) years of experience in Architectural / Engineering Industry.
Proven capability in all phases of the Architectural design documentation and construction process, from Schematic Design through Contract Administration.
Must have proven experience in AutoCAD.
Registered Architect – required.
American Institute of Architects (AIA) certification – required.
Understanding of design, materials and construction – required.
Current knowledge of Joint Commission, state, and federal guidelines, regulations and standards – required.
Ability to integrate in a multi-national team and in a different culture.
Strong interpersonal skills.
