Senior Project Manager / Architect
Posted Friday, April 2
PKA is a collaborative studio of 30ish laid back introverts that work with a feverish intensity on a variety of awesome residential projects as unique as our clients hopes and dreams. We are a full-service architecture firm that specializes in homes, lofts, cabins, and boutique commercial projects for some of the coolest people we know, both locally and across the country.
While growing bigger by the day it seems, we strive to maintain our roots as team-oriented group of designers that focuses on turning out impressive work no matter the style, program, client or location. We are very serious about not taking ourselves too seriously.
We are looking for another creative and talented person to join our work family as a Senior Project Manager bringing their experience in maintaining and fostering great client relationships while designing and documenting high end residential work to our big little studio.
Candidates must have 7 to 10 years of practical experience working directly with clients on the design and documentation of high end residential new construction and renovations.
Qualified candidates will have a high degree of knowledge of residential building techniques, materials, and systems in addition to experience in all aspects of the design phases of a project including code research, drafting, specifications of materials and products, and exterior and interior detailing.
In addition, a Senior PM will have:
• A professional degree in architecture
• A team oriented mentality and a willingness and desire to help mentor younger staff
• Good graphic and verbal communication skills
• A high degree of proficiency and efficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office is required.
• Enscape and BIM experience a plus, but not required.
• Licensure is not required, but a plus.
Sound like a good fit? Then shoot us an email at email@example.com and include your resume, cover letter, and portfolio or work samples in pdf format. Please do not send disks or hard copies as they do not travel well via email. And since you’re busy, and we’re busy, let’s communicate by email so no need to drop in or call.
