NELSON Worldwide

NELSON’s Workplace practice designs spaces where businesses, financial houses, tech and media companies, law firms and non-profits can connect to each other and to their collective values. Through incisive programming, intelligent space planning and artful material selection, we are boldly transforming the post-pandemic workplace into vital expressions of our clients’ culture.

JOB SUMMARY The Senior Marketing Coordinator-Workplace will work directly with Practice and Business Development leaders to bring these concepts to life for our clients through the creation of proposals and presentations. Your energy, industriousness, and command of the Workplace portfolio means that you can actively support Senior Leadership in winning work, and you will play a key role in the growth of the practice and the firm.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITES This position sits at the point where strategy meets execution. Your understanding of the big picture will allow you to manage and contribute to a process that will result in consistent but expressive representations of who we are and how we work with our clients. In other words, when producing or creating content, you will be a crucial part of making sure we adhere to the company purpose and practice mission, but there is room to do it creatively. Your primary function will be to initiate and complete the process of responding to Requests for Proposals and/or creating follow-up presentations.

This includes: –Setting and managing the schedule. You will assemble the pursuit team for kickoff, make sure to communicate what you need and from whom you need it, and set further touchpoints along the way (e.g., draft reviews). –Production and creation of materials. No two opportunities are alike, and so this could mean different things. A proposal might only require slight changes to pre-existing materials, or there might be a need for research, art direction, copy writing, graphic design—or some combination of these things. The key is working with the pursuit team to quickly understand what is necessary to communicate the most important information. –Supporting (and being supported by) our other Sales Marketing Coordinators. While you will be affiliated with our Workplace practice and most of our Coordinators are similarly aligned, we work together as a Marketing Department to fill in gaps, connect the dots and complete any departmental initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS –Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Marketing, Journalism/Communications, Graphic Design) –3-5 years professional experience, including two years in the AEC industry Proficiency in Adobe InDesign –Ability to prioritize and manage time, especially when working without oversight. –Ability to manage different personality types while still communicating professionally. –Understanding of the dynamics of the internal customer relationship. –Strong graphic design skills. –Excellent writing skills. To express interest and to receive a full job description, please submit a resume along with samples of your work (writing/proposal/design). Depending on candidate preference and location, this position can be fully remote or part of NELSON’s hybrid work schedule.
