The Architecture Program at Dunwoody College and the University of Minnesota School of Architecture, invite AIA Minnesota firms to support these two schools in improving housing and infrastructure throughout Puerto Rico.
Their efforts have begun through a partnership with Ponce Neighborhood Housing Services initiated in December 2017. The nature of the partnership is determined through assessment of the need by Ponce NHS and the capacity to address the need.
With a common Spring Break schedule, both Dunwoody and the School of Architecture hope to bring students and faculty from both institutions to initiate projects identified in a previous visit. This work will involve documenting the conditions of housing and infrastructure, while delivering supplies and relief to remote and informal settlements in Ponce, Adjuntas and Villalba.
