Consent and waiver
The intent of AIA Minnesota’s Architect Consultation Service for Restaurants & Bars is to provide general guidance on the kinds of changes you can make to your restaurant/bar space to comply with the State's COVID-19 guidelines. The consulting architect's guidance will be based on the information provided by you in advance of and during the consultation, and will be designed to advise you on actions you can take so your restaurant or bar can comply with the State guidelines: the consulting architect will not make any representations about whether or to what extent any modifications of your space will present the transmission of COVID-19. It is not expected or required that the architect will provide a written follow-up report. The architect's guidance during the consultation will be conceptual in nature and you agree you will not rely on this guidance alone for design or construction. You are responsible for securing professional assistance that may be necessary to follow through on any ideas discussed during the consultation. You are not in any way obligated to hire the consulting architect to provide any further professional services, though you would be allowed to do so if you so choose.
By participating in AIA Minnesota’s Architect Consultation Service for Restaurants & Bars, you waive any claim against AIA Minnesota for losses or damages arising out of the consultation unless those losses or damage are caused by AIA Minnesota’s recklessness or willful misconduct.
I agree to the terms specified here.
