Hook & Ladder Development in Northeast Minneapolis

This tour has reached capacity.

The Hook & Ladder development, in Northeast Minneapolis, is a sustainably designed, affordable housing project on a previously derelict industrial site, currently under construction. Tours will be led by project team members.

Tuesday, July 9
3:00 to 4:00 pm – Optional Happy Hour following
Location: The project construction entrance is located at the corner of Jefferson St NE and 23rd Ave NE. Pleases park on the street and meet just inside the construction gate.

Hook & Ladder Apartments will provide 118 units of affordable housing in Northeast Minneapolis in two buildings, one of which is Passive House (PHIUS+ 2015) pre-certified, the other is standard affordable housing construction. Upgrades to the PHIUS building include enhanced insulation and windows, minimized thermal bridging, continuous ventilation with energy recovery, and air sealing to meet strict air-tightness testing. This will result in a building that not only uses less energy, but will be more comfortable for the people who live there.
