Individuals with an architectural license from a U.S. licensing authority are eligible for architect membership.

Associate membership is open to individuals who have a professional degree in architecture, work under the supervision of an architect, are enrolled in AXP, or are a faculty member in a university program in architecture.

Individuals who have an architecture license or equivalent from a non-U.S. licensing authority are eligible for International Associate membership.

Allied
Allied membership is open to individuals who work in a field related to the practice of architecture. Included in this group are landscape architects, engineers, planners, interior designers, and graphic designers; and professionals in government, education, industry, research, and journalism; and others who will provide a meaningful contribution by virtue of their employment, profession, or interest.
