Description: Oertel Architects is seeking a full-time Project Architect to join our team. This position requires experience in all phases of architecture and the ability to coordinate all aspects of assigned projects. OA is looking for a licensed or soon-to-be licensed Architect that will perform full service Architectural work throughout the programming, design, documentation, estimating, and construction phases of our work including the coordination of outside consultants.

An ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, strong design skills, and the ability to work on several projects/tasks concurrently. Candidate will need attention to detail as well as the ability to take initiative to produce and direct high-quality deliverables with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities include: Responsible for coordinating assignments within project scope, schedule and budget, with responsibility for providing high end deliverables. Drafting of construction plans and details using AutoCAD and Revit software. Perform consultant coordination and oversee a small in-house team.

Skills and Competencies: Ideal candidate has excellent people skills, is a great listener and communicator, and is fully confident in their ability to manage a quality process and direct the team to meet client’s goals. Works well both independently and in a team setting. Proficiency in the use of Revit and Autocad required. Bluebeam, Photoshop, Sketchup, and/or Lumion experience is a plus.

Education and Experience: Professional Degree required; 4 + years of experience Compensation: Pay rate will be commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include full employee health and dental insurance, matching 401k, PTO, continuing ed, AIA dues.
