Summary:
Develop systems and processes to facilitate integration of sustainability and design, be a firm-wide resource to provide inspiration, expertise, research, documentation, and education in designing sustainably. Lead sustainability certification efforts on projects, and inform firmwide sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Lead project teams to explore and discover new methods, identify problems, and develop solutions.

Provide guidance on certification programs (LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL, etc.), energy modeling, code compliance, and life cycle cost analysis to integrate sustainable design methodology into design solutions and elevate client goals.

Track key metrics, conduct research, and lead analysis and simulations to inform building performance and certification efforts, and lead internal sustainability programs as part of JLG’s Integrated Design Team.

Engage in the documentation and submittal process to ensure timely completion, in accordance with JLG best practices, to maintain certifications, initiatives, and AIA 2030 Commitment.

Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in architecture or related field

Excellent verbal and graphic communication and presentation skills with ability to guide and coordinate team members, contractors and consultants

Conceptual thinker with ability to analyze and implement

Strong knowledge of the built environment and sustainable building practices

Strong knowledge in LEED and B3 implementation processes, research, and documentation
- Familiarity with Revit, Cove, Climate Studio, or related software; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Demonstrates initiative, ability to multi-task and ability to adapt when situations change
- Explorer mentality with ability to lead the discovery process
Preferred Qualifications
- Architectural Registration with 5-10 years of relevant professional experience
- LEED Accreditation or similar sustainability accreditation
