In lieu of our regularly scheduled meeting, we encourage COTE members to attend the Minnesota Resiliency Collaborative meeting at the office of HGA Architects and Engineers from 2 to 4 pm on Thursday, July 21.

The Minnesota Resiliency Collaborative is a knowledge-sharing group that seeks to further regional understanding of resilient design. Their meeting on Thursday will focus on the work of the Minnesota Department of Public Health, which has studied climate change and the direct connections to human health. We can ask questions, find out where input is needed, and learn how the work can help us advance our own resiliency work at our various organizations.

Location: HGA Architects and Engineers
420 Fifth Street North, Suite 100
Minneapolis, MN 55401

The Committee on the Environment (COTE) works to advance, disseminate, and advocate—to the profession, the building industry, the academy, and the public—design practices that integrate built and natural systems and enhance both the design quality and environmental performance of the built environment. COTE serves as the community and voice on behalf of AIA architects regarding sustainable design and building science and performance.

Co-Chairs: Douglas Pierce, AIA, and Jesse Turck, AIA
