The Emerging Professionals Committee has teamed up with the MN Structural Engineers Young Member Group to host a construction tour of Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s new Critical Care Pavilion. HGA and Mortenson will lead the tour focusing on design intent and both architectural and structural elements in the project. Below is a blurb about the project:

“As part of Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Campus Revitalization and Allina Health’s commitment to delivering whole-person care, the healthcare system is investing in a new Surgical and Critical Care Pavilion (SCCP). The 10-story, 690,000-square-foot SCCP will provide state-of-the-art critical care for the community, replacing the hospital’s existing operating rooms and creating new care environments for patients, visitors and staff. The new facility will be LEED certified in alignment with Allina Health’s commitment to environmental sustainability.”

Attendees should bring their own PPE (boots/closed toe shoes, safety vest, glasses, hard hat with chin-strap) Otherwise some PPE may be available on site.

Following the tour will be a joint happy hour at Eat Street Crossing. Only 20 spots available so register now! Registration is free.
