Description

Director of Architecture | Minneapolis, MN | Direct Hire | $140k to $170k Konik has partnered with a leading restaurant chain and franchisor seeking a Director of Architecture.

As the Director of Architecture, you’ll lead the design and implementation of innovative restaurant concepts, guiding both domestic and international teams. Your expertise will shape the future of this iconic brand through creative and cost-effective solutions. As the Director of Architecture, you will:
Lead the development and implementation of design standards for all restaurant concepts.
Provide design solutions to support architectural plans and construction.
Ensure new-build and remodel designs are operationally effective and economical. Collaborate with various internal departments to maintain visual brand consistency. Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers of construction materials and conduct value engineering.
Oversee the performance of external architecture/engineering consultants.
Foster a motivated and productive team environment.
Stay updated on merchandising trends in the restaurant/retail environment.

Director of Architecture Requirements:
Professional degree in Architecture from an NCARB-accredited university.
Licensed Architect in the U.S. Minimum ten years of experience as a licensed architect.
Advanced knowledge and understanding of building codes, design and construction Prior experience managing internal staff and external consultants. 
Familiarity with the restaurant industry and its operations; experience working for a franchise corporation is ideal. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Enscape software.
Experience coordinating with various departments to meet project deadlines.
