Spend your summer growing as a designer at H Window. Facade Design Interns are an important part of delivering excellent products for exceptional projects. They work alongside senior design leaders and project managers to produce drawings, documents, and other materials used to ensure our timber curtain walls and other products are designed and manufactured to meet architectural project requirements. Successful Facade Design Interns love to learn, eagerly apply new skills, and are proud to make real contributions to a team.

Experience & Qualifications: Candidates should have completed 2 years of an architecture or drafting degree program by the start of the internship. Skills: Candidates should have a basic ability to read and interpret construction documents along with experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Location: This is a fully remote position, although preference will be given to candidates residing in the Twin Cities metro or Duluth metro areas. Interns will have weekly in-person meetings and daily virtual meetings with H Window staff. H Window will provide a laptop with software (to be returned at the end of your internship). Interns will be responsible for their own internet connection. There will be a 2-day orientation at the company headquarters in Ashland, WI. Travel, lodging and meal expenses will be covered. Periodic travel to our office or to construction sites may occur. Travel will be compensated.

Compensation: This is an hourly position with 30 hours per week minimum. The hourly rate will be commensurate with experience.

AXP: Facade Design Interns have the opportunity to earn NCARB AXP credit hours toward architecture licensing. These hours are applied to Setting O – working under an individual licensed architect in an organization not engaged in the practice of architecture.
