Join the Residential Architecture Committee (a chapter of CRAN) on Tuesday, July 21 at 12:00 pm for a CRAN Build the Build tour of an under-construction home in Orono designed by Christopher Strom Architects and built by Mark D. Williams Custom Homes.
The Forest Frame Residence is tucked away on a wooded five-acre lot in Orono, MN. This home is for a retired bachelor who loves guitars and golf. The home features statement materials throughout the main living space, including a wood-paneled ceiling, metal mesh catwalk railings, and a two-story stone fireplace. Upstairs, the Vinyl Lounge is a cozy space to relax and enjoy the Client’s record collection while taking in forest views.
It will be the first home in the country to feature the new Pella Vista Windows! The project also features ZIP sheathing and Rockwool insulation.
