The U of MN, Dunwoody, and NDSU offer scholarships funded by local chapters AIA Minneapolis, AIA Northern MN, and AIA St. Paul. Local firms also support scholarships offered through local schools of architecture. Contact your school for details.

The Emerging Professionals Committee offers great ways to get to know people who have recently been where you are. They bring together students and those in the early years of practice. Join their email list to be alerted to events.
This week-long design charrette - 40 years running - brings together students and practicing architects and designers to tackle real-world design projects for agencies and organizations supporting people experiencing homelessness.
Students make this event possible! Architect-designed homes throughout the Twin Cities region are opened up to the public to tour. Architects and project team partners are at each home to talk about the design. Volunteers get free tour tickets, too!
Work with architects and designers to connect with K-12 youth to introduce architectural concepts and architecture as a field of study and career path. Fun activities take place in summer and throughout the year, including STEM Day at the State Fair.
Students are welcome to join member groups focused on topics of interest and where you may be wanting to learn and get connected to practicing architects and designers. Explore the possibilities, visit a meeting, or take part in an event. Come join us!
Students are encouraged to attend the Minnesota Conference on Architecture anytime within the three-day event, held in early- to mid-November. It is the year’s biggest gathering of architects and designers, offering education sessions, a product expo hall, and socials.
