Join the Residential Architecture Committee on Friday, July 11 at 12:00 pm for a CRAN Build the Build tour of an under-construction White Oaks Savanna home designed by Spokane, WA, architecture firm Uptics Studios and built by Redstone Builders.
The Savanna Gables project is a sophisticated home in a unique environment. White Oaks Savanna is a residential community carefully developed with the local jurisdictions, in order to conserve, restore, and protect the priceless natural oak savanna and prairie landscape of east-central Minnesota. During the Schematic Design phase, we assessed the property in order to orient the building for the best views, and to take advantage of the sun, wind, and other site components. We prioritized understanding how the owners’ lifestyle would shape their home’s design requirements.
The initial concepts balanced respect for the neighborhood with contemporary Scandinavian aesthetics, featuring multiple high-pitched gables connected by a flat-roofed breezeway. We emphasized indoor-outdoor connections through thoughtful window placement to showcase the surrounding landscape. This phase established the foundation for balancing open space with a prairie home for our valued clients.
Representatives from Uptics Studio and Redstone Builders will be present to share more about the design and construction.
Lunch will be provided, sponsored by Andersen Windows & Doors. Please email Ann Mayhew after registering with any dietary restrictions.
