Join the MDT Committee for their annual January Retreat at the Bovey Mansion of Alliiance. Come to discuss and learn more about life-cycle housing in rural Minnesota. There will be morning snacks and lunch provided. (Email Amber Allardyce with dietary restrictions.) Virtual attendance is available by request.
Panellists
Ben Winchester, rural sociologist with the University of Minnesota Extension who has studied housing and other rural issues for several decades and defined “brain gain” as the influx of young adults and families to outstate communities.
Daniel Lightfoot, community economist with the Minnesota League of Cities.
Ben Olsen, Assoc. AIA, of Office Hughes Olsen in Duluth, project designer and architectural historian. His Infill House in Duluth is the winner of AIA Minnesota’s Affordable Housing Design Award.
Amanda Pederson, AIA, architect with DJR Architecture. She has worked with Rise Modular on several “modular” multi-unit apartment projects for the Minneapolis Public Housing Authority.
