Join our team!
We do things a little differently. Rather than seeing each other once a month, like most committees, we have “conference season” where we meet weekly from February-October. It’s intense, but also a lot of fun. Come join us!
We curate topics of focus and speakers for the keynote and concurrent sessions of the annual Minnesota Conference on Architecture, and additional CE sessions and series. We review and apply learnings from feedback received from attendees. We fuel excellence in the Minnesota architecture community and provide opportunities for experts of all career stages to be highlighted and recognized for their work.
AIA Minnesota members and architecture students are welcome to join us at any time during the year! Reach out to co-chairs or staff for more information.
The Conference CE Committee is a highly engaged group that shapes the conversations and designs of Minnesota’s architecture community. Our actions are foundational to the continued success of architects, designers, and our industry partners.
We brainstorm and reach out to potential keynote speakers, collaborating with the Minnesota Architectural Foundation (MAF) to determine the Beverly Hauschild-Baron (BHB) Leadership Fund speaker.
Grounded in the challenges of today, and at the same time future oriented toward emerging issues and new voices, we take on the difficult task of winnowing down selections from the many quality proposals received.
We review the conference session evaluations to inform future speakers and topics. This work is data driven, with ratings and comments taken seriously and informing decision-making.
Some proposed sessions lend themselves to recording for on-demand CE, and others merit standalone series outside the conference. We work with staff to make these difficult determinations.
